Three Reasons You Need Video Conferencing
Posted by Ryan Pinke on 8/14/2017
At VideoConferenceGear.com, our mission is to create successes for all our customers when it comes to video conferencing - and that starts from the beginning of the planning process. Today's business reality is being available to your customers, from the largest to the smallest, regardless of their location. We have customers throughout the country (and a few in other parts of the globe). But we can't be "there" every time they need help or support, which is why we believe video conferencing is a requirement for doing business today.
So with that in mind, let's look at three of the biggest reasons you need video conferencing for your business.
#1 - Be where your customers are
Unless your business is specifically focused on a location (like a restaurant), being available to your customers, when they need you is not just "good", it's important to your business. And if you're like us, and have an online business, your customers could literally be anywhere in the world. The only way to support these customers cost effectively is through video conferencing. Whether one-on-one meetings, or several people meeting at once - video conferencing allows you to be "there" - not just your voice (conferencing calling), but also in person. They can see you talking, allowing for a much more personal interaction. Everyone likes to know who they're doing business with, and video conferencing is miles ahead of just doing business over the phone.
#2 - Hire the best
As much as business has become "locationless", employment is moving in the same direction. Video conferencing allows you to hire the best people (either as temporary employees/contractors or full time) regardless of location. But that has it's own challenges - mostly in keeping people informed, ensuring projects and work stays on track, and moving your business forward and focused.
With video conferencing, both local and remote employees, contractors, suppliers, etc. can come together in a productive work environment. Once again, we can see who we're working with, share ideas, communicate better and keep projects on track. The challenged for most companies is getting over the hump of working in a "not here" world - but with video conferencing, that challenge can be counter-balanced once everyone understands how to use it, and how to take advantage of it.
#3 - Expand your business
Once you break down the barriers of customers and employees, it's a logical extension to understand how you can expand your business through utilizing video conferencing. You are no longer constrained by location (although there are challenges with time zones, but those can be met in creative way) when it comes to business. You can work with suppliers, vendors, customers, employees anywhere. Your meetings can take place in virtual meeting rooms while still having a very personal relationship with all your business partners, customers and employees. Done right, that expands your business horizon to be anywhere, anytime.
We believe almost all business can benefit from video conferencing. That's why we spend so much time looking for, finding and putting together the rights products and services for our customers. We know that starting off with the right goals, understanding what you want to accomplish is as important as having the right products in place to make it happen.
